RETREAT
Annual weekend getaway....In the spring, SPICE gets away for a weekend that offers time to retreat from home and church life to rest, renew old friendships and make new friends. Our time away is focused on our own spiritual growth and renewal. Recent weekends have been held in places like Holy Cross Monastery, Linwood Spiritual Center, and Trinity Retreat Center. Together we have walked through the Benedictine Rule and considered how spirituality can be reflected in the visual arts. We worship, laugh, pray, and fellowship together in chapel and around a bonfire. We have talked until the wee hours of the morning--grounded in the knowledge that we are among friends and fellow travelers on our journey as partners of clergy.
